I have three kids in college. Rather than <a href="http://efwlprt.com">livnig</a> at the dorm or being party kids, they work almost full time. It's not easy, and they have had to give up alot of the freedom that some of their friends take for granted, but they all have low loans to pay back, good work resumes, decent credit scores and on top of that the oldest two are graduating magnacumlaude and cumlaude respectively. So it can be done, but you have to be a grown up.
I've heard of a few people linvig on the Islands up the North Coast of Australia such as Hamilton Island. They usually hire young people to work in the resorts over there during the summer and I'm guessing you'd get cheap accommodation? I'm not 100% sure of the details but I know you get time off to enjoy the Island and you'd meet plenty of other young people that would be doing the same thing.
